Norman Winkle died Saturday, the 6th, my birthday. Thanks to the technology of Facebook, we were able to reconnect with Norman in the last weeks of his life. Like many, I didn't even know there was anything wrong...until I got a message from Mary Haverkorn. All I knew was that he was one of many names and faces from my past years at Lake Worth.
I played football with him in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. I am so glad that I was able to share some old 6th grade football pictures and memories with him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and we can only look forward to that day when we will see that boyish grin smiling at us in Heaven.
